Since 1994, DBC has performed dozens of interior renovation projects for Columbia University as a Prime General Contractor. Interior projects performed for Columbia University Facilities include the following: the new Bettman Lecture Hall, Schermerhorn Hall; Science Lab upgrades in Pupin and Fairchild Halls; office renovations, multiple brownstone renovations, Fraternity Row on 114th Street; installation for new classrooms, administrative offices and new skylight in Uris Hall; players’ lounge and locker room upgrades and new storefront installations in Dodge Fitness Center.
DBC’s exterior projects include several façade restoration, roof replacement and waterproofing remediation projects in both the Manhattanville and Morningside Campuses.
In the earlier stages of the company’s history, DBC also performed hundreds of projects for Columbia University’s Institutional Real Estate Department. These projects included complete apartment renovations, maintenance and repair projects and the renewal of the University’s Dormitory facilities each summer.
