Complete re-cladding of the one million square foot Center 3 Building at LaGuardia Community College. The existing terracotta building façade is being removed in its entirety and is being replace with a new glass and terracotta curtain wall system. The work also includes asbestos abatement and the removal and replacement of windows, including temporary partitions to seal the openings. The work is taking place in an occupied facility requiring meticulous planning and scheduling to limit disruption of school activities.
The project also includes the replacement of the existing perimeter heating system and conversion to steam and a renovation of the building lobby.
DBC is providing office engineering services as a sub consultant to TDX as well as General Conditions Labor for the project.
