Pier 54 Upland Construction – New Esplanade, Site Utilities and Titanic Arch Restoration

DBC performed as the Prime General Contractor for this Esplanade Project along a stretch of the Hudson River Park from Bloomfield to West 14th Street. Work includes the removals of existing site elements, soil, debris, earthwork and grading, removal and replacement of corroded steel members, lead abatement, restoration of the Titanic Arch, and installation of concrete slabs to support the new paver installation.

Electric works includes new pipe and wiring for new utility installations, new light poles and LED seat wall lighting. Finishes include decorative stainless steel railings along the Hudson, concrete pavers with a multi-color decorative pattern along the esplanade, new concrete footings and granite seat wall at a continuous curvature along the esplanade and landscaping throughout.
